Missosology Ousted “Miss Earth” From Its ‘Grandslam’ Club

Philippines’-based pageant portal, Missosology finally ousted “Miss Earth” pageant from its ‘Grandslam’ list. The loyalty to the pageant itself has gone since many pageant fans all over the world claims that Ibasco’s victory in Miss Earth was a total unprofessionalism. Many protests come from Thai and Latin supporters, claiming that Miss Earth final has been set up for Miss Philippines victory.

Miss Earth itself was found on 2001 in the Philippines with a purpose to raise awareness through global warming and protecting the environment. Miss Earth has around 17 titleholders from 12 countries. Philippines leads the number of the most crown wheren just in 4 years, Philippines has won the title three times including a back-to-back in 2014 and 2015.

Many hate speech and comments are coming on Ibasco’s Instagram and also her Facebook page. Some pageant portal and page are also receiving bad response due to Ibasco’s victory that mostly claimed as a ‘cooking show’ and ‘not deserving beauty’. Most of pageant fans are in favour with Thailand’s Paweensuda Drouin and Venezuela’s Ninoska Vasquez – both are placed in the Top 8.

Missosology’s decision to put out Miss Earth from its VIP list has giving some surprise towards the pageant fans where Missosology’s loyalty to the pageant is very high. Good responses are coming from pageant fans all over the world towards this decision. Some are also speculating that this is just another trick for Missosology to get the sympathy from pageant fans around the world.

By the ousting of this environmental-oriented pageant from Missosology’s Grandslam list, pageant fans were left questioned by the status of Miss Grand International on the list. Missosology has moved the Miss Earth page to “other pageants” section but there’s no confirmation yet from Missosology either Miss Grand International gonna be listed on the VIP list or still not considered by Missosology as a Grandslam pageant.
